You have tried every possible thing you can do, it sounds like a voltage issue or a wiring fault. It is going to be impossible to diagnose over a "chat" across the internet here, you are going to need an in-person technician to evaluate the actual issue.

I am so very sorry, you have one through every possible thing I would suggest, and I don't want to have you spinning your wheels trying things I am certain won't work.

Hope this helps, you will want to check with someone local, so sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

We have a Sanyo PLV-55whd1. We have replaced several lamp bulbs because blew shortly after we put them in. We then replaced the lamp ballast and the TV was working for a few days. Now the Power Light...

You have to pull the chassis out and it sits on top. Also there are 2 squirrel cage fans that cool the bulb, be sure to blow these out, especially the supply fan, its gets caked up really bad and then there no air to the bulb which makes the thermal switch trip. Theres also two other computer type fans a larger on which is out in the open on the right side and a smaller on on the left as viewed from the rear of the TV. The small one is burried, you will need to pull the tuner to get a good crack at it.

How do you replace a bulb in samsung projection tv hls5668wx

There is a video of the procedure here: . Make sure to get the exact matching lamp code number and type. This is listed on the right side of the TV and on the lamp case.

Then turn off the TV and let it cool for at least 30 minutes. Make sure not to touch the glass with your bare hands (particularly with the new lamp). Remove the single screw from the lamp cover and then remove the lamp cover. Remove the lamp cover duct by holding the locker and pulling it towards you. Next remove the screw holding the lamp in the housing. Separate the lamp from the housing by holding the handle and pulling it towards you. Reverse the process with the new lamp. Make sure the lamp cover is seated properly and the screw tightened to get the TV to come on.

I hope this helps.

I have a Samsung DLP 50" TV (HL-R4667W) that has been nothing but trouble. The bulb has to be replaced about every 6 mos or the set turns itself off. I believe there is some other problem other that the...

If the color wheel is the problem you can generally hear a high pitch whine coming from the TV. If it is seized the lamp will ignite for a few seconds and then shut off.

The ballast is only used to ignite the lamp, it shouldn't cause the TV to turn off once it is on.

Since the TV shuts off after it is on I recommend the following:

1st - The lamp cover has a safety switch. if the lamp cover is not pressing on the switch, the TV will turn off after random periods of time.

2nd - The other thing to check is the fan for the Lamp. If the fan is seized or spinning slowly, the lamp will heat up and trip the thermal protection switch. Once that happens the lamp is super hot and could rupture while cooling down.

The motor may have blown on the fan

Well I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. Sometimes case fans do just give out after so long. There is little to nothing that can be done about it. No one repairs case fans your better off just buying a new one.

Post back if you need any further assistance and I will get back to you. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

The lamps can burn out if you suddenly lose power (and the lamp does not cool via fan). This can cause lamp failures and possibly other failures. Also, if the fan cannot get air sufficiently (from the filter (on the back of the set) this can cause thermal overload and other thermal failures. Be sure all cooling fans (yes fans) are functioning and free of dirt.

Check fan # 2

Samsung Consumer LCD tv's do not have fans except on the higher end models. The Commercial models do. Yours is a Consumer model. I suspect that you have a DLP tv. In that case replace the Lamp Fan. It is the Larger of the three fans. With the rear cover off, you will see a Blue switch lever on the lower right side of the tv. Hold it in a up position and turn "on" the set with your tv remote. Then look for any fan that is not running. Then order that fan. there is a large fan that cools the Lamp. The other fans are of the same smaller size and one cools the DND chip and the other cools the Ballast.

The lamp is going bad. If it was the thermal fuse it would not be intermittent. It is very common for some Sony sets like yours to do exactly what you describe when the lamp is going bad.

Just replaced lamp in tv and it still doesn't work

I found that according to the service manual there is a thermal switch behind the fan on the left side (facing the tv) you remove the back (grey plastic) panel. get a flashlight and look behind the fan and there is a round pushbutton style thermal switch. get a long object ( make sure tv is unplugged) like a pencil and push in on the button if it clicks this might be your problem. if you need a copy of the service manual E mail me at and I'll E-Mail it to you.

Radiator cooling fan doesn't come on.

first unplug the cooling fan at its plug and supply 12v to the fan if it doesnt run then replace if it does run follow the power wire to the thermal water switch usualy located at the bottom of the radiator.Use test light/probe to check that you have power into the switch and when engine is hot you should have power both in and out of the switch.if not replace thermal water switch. If that is working you will need to find out why you have no power to the switch.Check that your fuse and relay is working correctly.Sometimes just pulling out the relay and putting back in will make it work due to poor contact. Also try swapping relays with others in the same box near battery to identify if relay is faulty

if you purcased a LTI lamp then the possibilty of a bad lamp may be the case. LTI lamps are cheap and are poorly manufactured. if it is a JVC lamp then you may have further problems such as lamp balast, or thermal sensor. clean the fans and filtersfor better air flow. keeping the lanp cool is important for the life of the lamp.
