Question about Toshiba Satellite M30 M35 Series 15.4 WXGA LCD Display LP154W01-A5-K000019460 PC Notebook
I have a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S329 laptop. It will load up into windows, but if it is banged it freezes and must be restarted or it seems to freeze with slight movement. It was takin to best buy geek squad and they have said it needs a new motherboard. However I heard of some people being able to repair these boards with sottering and buying new parts.
I took it all apart cleaned it up made sure all was secure. I was curious if there was a way to find which exact part was causing the freezing on the board itself. Or if anyone had any ideas of how to fix this problem. The power jack seems securely sottered to the board still but im not perfectly sure that this means all is okay.
I also heard of Toshiba fixing these types of problems even after the warranty is expired. Some type of extended warranty. If you know of any of thing that could help me please say so. Thanks so much
I have never heard of anyone being able to fix a bad motherboard other than to solder on a new DC jack which is not what your problem is. You should call Toshiba and ask them if this is a known issue and maybe they will fix it if there is an extended warranty.
