My notebook frequently shows no act...

my notebook frequently shows no activity.Most of the time the activity returns on its own and some times i have to press the pad and keep it pressed for some times for note book to work.is it mother board problem?

Try plugging an external mouse. Try going to safe mode. If still does not work boot from an OS disc, if you can move the mouse in the installation process, eityher you can run a checkdisc on OS CD command prompt or just reinstall windows right away.
