Is there a memory card in the camera?
If yes and the card is locked, I am assuming it is an SD card.
Take the card out, they have a little slide lock so that the photos cannot be overwritten. Slide it to unlock and fire away.

Lock Memory card

Think the memory card has a write protection switch. Eject memory card and flip switch.

What does it mean when it saids your memory card is lock I haven't lock it.Please help Thank You

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I hava a memory card, SanDisk MicroSD 2Gb. When I connected it to my PC, I couldn't copy any file to this memory card, then system showed a message that this media is write-protected. I couldn't...

Here's a simply suggestion which I suspect you have already tried.
Many SD cards, such as the the one you see in the picture above, have the "lock". On the left side of your card you should see the lock. Turn the lock off and try connecting it again.
Like I said I assume this isn't your problem (since you know what a "registry" is ;) ) but the problem you described is exactly what happens when the "lock" is on. That's my first advice.
Thanks for using FixYa.

SD memory cards have a little switch on them to write protect the card. It sounds like you have inadvertantly set this to "Lock".

When I tried to take a picture the camera said memory card locked, it won't let me do anything. what do I do to fix this?

there is a small switch on the memory card that either locks or unlocks it, just flip it to unlocked position and reinsert it.

Picture card wont read

You should "format" the card while it is in your camera. This should get it properly formatted so your camera will read it. Be sure the card is not locked (write protected) too!

My memory card in my camera keeps saying its protected

Hi there, My name is Rob and I can help you. Do this:

Make sure the camera is off and pull out the SD card. Look on the side of the card. You will see a little switch. One side says locked (or shows a little picture of a locked lock) the other side says unlocked (or shows a little picture of an unlocked lock). Make sure the switch is in the unlocked position and reinsert it properly into the camera.

This will fix your problem. Thanks for coming to FixYa. Let me know if I can be of anymore help. Don't forget to rate my answer a fixya!

resetting may help solving the problem. in order to reset your Olympus Digital Camera, please follow the instructions provided below: 1. Remove all cards, cables, etc. 2. Remove the lens cap or slide open the lens cover and turn the camera "ON" in any of the record modes. Then remove the batteries. 3. let the camera sit for approx. 5 to 10 minutes 4. Re-insert the card and a fresh set of batteries or an AC adapter 5. Test the camera I hope this will solve your problem.
