Re: microsoft outlook

When you have outlook open and minimized, you can use New Mail notifications. On the tools menu, click options. Then select e-mail options on the preference tab. Then select Advanced e-mail options and then select Desktop Alert Settings. Click on the desktop Alert Settings button and set the settings for notifications.

Re: microsoft outlook

Lokya to check if you have new email, you have to press send/receive tab on your toolbar, that would start the process of synchronising your emails. You'll see your new emails and drafts from your outbox will be send.

If that has helped you please press solved.

How to import outlook files in apple mail?

PST Converter Pro (Mac/Win)
Going the "freeware" way you will have to migrate to Thunderbird and then to Apple Mail ~ at least that's the only reliable way I know of.
Contacts are the easiest part as you can export them to vcard in Outlook and import said vcard(s) into OS X Address Book.
Same easy steps can be made for the Calendar: In Outlook select "Save Calendar", for the data range select all and go ahead. You will get a standard iCalendar file (ics) which can be imported into iCal.

How to instal outlook express?

Outlook express only comes with windows xp and earlyer windows versions.
However in windows vista microsoft did replace outlook express with windows mail and
in windows 7 they left it completely out of the package.
In windows 7 you'll have to install windows mail from the windows live essentials package, wich is free to download.
Outlook express can't be installed on windows vista and 7, use windows mail instead.

Download Windows Live Essentials here:

Outlook express

Ok, so you imported your mail to outlook. Then you didn't like the program, so you exported the mail out of outlook. I am assuming you used outlooks export feature, found under the file menu on the top. When you hit export you get the option to name the export file, choose where you want it saved, and choose what type of export file you want to make. Outlook can export a file into many different file types that many different e-mail clients can use. That being said, if you are using the web based comcast e-mail there isn't a way for you to import e-mail into it. Depending on how you set up the outlook account it may have been storing a copy of all the mail it downloaded in both outlook and on the web site based e-mail. As I said, this is entirely based on the settings you selected, if you told it to delete the mail from the server when outlook retrieved it then you're out of luck there. Website based (POP) e-mail accounts are limited in functionality, but tend to be designed for the basic end user in mind. So you're going to lack a lot of the features an actual program like outlook would give you. Peter
