GE ModelJTP14 oven, after 30 minutes at 350, the oven flashed a F2 code. Cooled and restarted the oven at 350, after 26 minutes it flashed F3. I have been remodeling and have taken the oven out of the cabinet, but did not disconnect the power or anything.

Check the codes for your particular model..they are included witht he wiring diagram that came with your oven. F2 likely means your control board (ERC) has an issue. I can't vouch for accuracy but here's another location with fault code listings http://www.appliancepartspros.com/repairtips/repairtips_appliance+fault+codes.aspx#GE Range / Stove / Oven Fault Codes

You can try turning the circuit breaker off that feeds power to your oven ( in your house electrical panel) that might work. If it does not, unfortunately it might be indicating a need to replace the control board... good luck!

GE OVEN THROWS F2 AND F3 CODES SOME TIMES WORKS FOR 45 MINUTES BEFORE CODE

Hello,

The F2 code means that the oven overheated by at least 100degrees(a bad sensor will cause that)
the F3 means that the oven sensor is shorted,so both of them are consistiant with defective oven tempature sensor and the sensor should be replaced.

The oven sensor is a pictured here oldtech2332_134.jpg
It is located in the oven baking chamber and can be replaced by unscrewing the screws from the bracket at the end of,pull it out unplug it,then reverse that process to install the new one.
With 2 different codes pointing to a bad sensor its apretty safe bets its bad.

F3 and F2 Errror messages on my GE convection oven

F2 & F3 are fault codes relating to the oven temperature sensor

F2 during bake means a temperature of over 630 deg has been reached
F3 means shorted oven temperature sensor

What it means is you will most likely need to have the oven temperature sensor (thermostat) replaced .

How to Fix Code F3 on GE Oven

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

GE Oven displaying both F2 and F3 error codes; bad ERC or temp sensor?

F3 is Open oven temperature sensor circuit.
F4 Shorted oven temperature sensor circuit .
F7 Component failure.

To fix this you need to read oven temperature sensor circuit at oven temperature sensor ( approx 1000 ohms at room temp); check for cut or pinched wire or loss of contact, if wirings are ok, then replace the probe.

GE Model JTP15 oven shows F3 error code

I have the same problem. I noticed that the oven gets to the selected temp ok. Then when the pilot attempts to RELIGHT, it gets the error F3. Did you get a solution? After other posts, I will see if the temp sensor is around 1100 ohm as suggested by others. Ken
