Question about Samsung Washing Machines
Bearings may have gone but the marks on the clothes sounds more like the door seal pull the door seal away from the drum slightly and see if it's dirty you get a grey slime caught in the seal give it a good clean

My samsung front loader is also leaving spot residue film on my clothes. It's ruined several clothes, comforters and they have sent tech after tech after tech out here and its not the drum, not the bearings, not a broken seal. They all tell me nothing is wrong with it. I have used HE detergent. I dont use fabric softener. I don't over fill the washer. I have used the cleaning tabs. I have left the door open. I have done everything I am supposed to. Yet when I call the customer service line I am the one getting told it is something I am doing. Oh I also get told how sorry they are and they apologize....then they transfer me to the executive relations department. Who then schedules a tech to come out who never can find anything wrong but I always show my clothes or photos to. The executive customer relation dept. has stated more than once they would look into it and get back with me. Ive sent photos, emails, they say they want work orders but ironically the techs never leave them and when calling samsung back they never have any records....hmmmmm.... then it starts all over again....me explaining my story a 100 times over, giving them the model #, being told how sorry they are. Back to customer executive relations department and REPEAT. I have gotten to the point of recording every conversation and documenting every thing they say... In the mean time I am packing my clothes to my moms (Except for the towels and wash cloths) to do laundry in her 700 dollar machine while I have a beautiful pretty machine with all the bells and whistles around 1,300.00 that I cant wash my clothes in.....Something is wrong with this picture....Oh and Its still under the one year manufc. warranty until July. So with this being said...I have no idea what to do here unless I put it in someone elses hands with a higher power bcuz the spots dont happen daily but they eventually get everything I own! Soooo distraught! If I was rich I would just throw the thing in the front yard and buy another. Unfortunately, I am not rich! I am a middle class american who works hard for everthing they own and all I want is someone to MAN/WOMAN up and make this problem right. I don't want any more sorrys....! Grrrrrrr

Hello Loree Grudem - This can be the result of the shaft bearing and seal. They may have become worn and the transmission oil is creeping up to get in your water. Once this happens, it gets on your clothes to cause staining. Or possibly you have a buildup of fabric softener that comes loose and puts a greasy like substance in your water and on your clothing. Once you put your clothes in the dryer and the old fabric softener melts you will see these spots. I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.
