Question about Panasonic PV-DF2703 Triple Play 27 in. TV/VCR/DVD Combo
My Panasonic DVD-F65 worked faithfully for years. Recently, it began to have problems playing discs that previously worked. It would attempt to play the disc and then display "This type of disc cannot be played. Please insert another disc." on the TV screen. The LCD on the DVD player would read "NOPLAY". I could usually get the disc to play if I tried inserting it in one of the other 4 disc spots or if I powered down the unit and powered it back up. Recently, however, this has not been possible.

If the disc loads up and you can hear it spin, then you get the error, more than likely the optical lens has been damaged. This will have to be repaired by a local shop if its worth the cost. if the part is available it would probably run anywhere from 130-165 to repair
