Here is the memory specifications from LG.

Maximum Size: Each slot is 1024MB and can be expanded to 2048MB.
SO DIMM Type for Memory Expansion: DDR2 SDRAM SO-DIMM (256MB, 512MB, 1024MB)

It can take a maximum of 2 gigabytes of ram. It will take two 1 gb sticks. It uses DDR2 laptop ram. You need to check to see if you have one stick that has 1 gb or 2 sticks that have 512 mb each. That will tell you if you need to buy one or two sticks of ram at 1 gb each. You will be able to tell a difference going from one gb to two gb of ram. I think it would be worth the investment if you plan on using the computer for another year or more.

Can the compaq presario c500 take more RAM than the standard 1.5Gb

You can upgrade the memory to a maximum of 2 GB using either 533 Mhz or 667 Mhz modules. There are two memory slots in this notebook so you would need two 1GB modules

I have Acer laptop Aspire 5570z module Zr1 with memory 1GB I want to increase memory 2GB or 3GB Is it possible or not What will be the expenditure?

Your laptop's RAM is upgradeable to up to 4 GB using two DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM modules.

So your upgrade options here are:
1. Buy a 1 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 2 GB (Price around US$ 25).
2. Buy a 2 GB DDR2 533/667 MHz SODIMM module & install it to get a total RAM of 3 GB (Price around US$ 45).

Could I use MacBook Pro 1G RAM (hynix 1GB 2Rx16 PC3-8500S-7-A1) to upgrade my T400 2G RAM to 3G?

Hello thx5,
It depends on how the 2GB in your T400 is currently configured. If the 2GB in there now is just one 2GB stick of RAM then yes you can add the other 1GB stick and then you will have 3GB of RAM installed. If your 2GB is two 1GB sticks of RAM (which is more likely to be the case) then the 1GB stick you have from your Macbook Pro isn't going to help.

Note: your laptop can handle up to 8GB of RAM via two 4GB sticks.

Hope this helps, if so please leave some good feedback. Thanks.

Can i upgrade my MT3705 to 4GB RAM?

If you get rid of Vista and put in 2gb of Ram your Laptop will not need 4 gb of ram.  You need to get it will not support double sided or ECC this is why you can not have 4gb you need 2GB kit (1GBx2), 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300 memory module
