I have Magix movie edit pro 2013. I am making a movie and it will play the audio of a certain track but not the video. what is wrong and how do i fix it. Anytime, i try to play this one clip, the...

On the timeline mode you will see all the tracks laid out. At the start of each one you will see a load of icons - S M and a padlock. On the video track make certain the M (for mute) is not selected. To be certain press play on the video monitor screen and then click the M for the video track. If it was selected the picture should come back.

If that isn't the problem it might be that your computer doesn't have the memory to cope with the video editing software. You can check this out by looking at the bottom left of the timeline mode screen. You will see the word CPU. When the video plays the number will increase. If it goes above 50 you might have problems. If it is at 70+ you have serious memory problem dealing with videos.

How do I remove a tumbnail from a photo?

Once you've added you're photos, you can set a different photo to act as thumbnail (the programme automatically chooses the first photo/slide, indicated by a little green ticked box sign).
To change the thumbnail to a different photo, highlight the photo you want as thumbnail by clicking it - the frame will change to yellow - and then click on the green ticked box command ("Set Thumbnail") at the top of the window.
You cannot alltogether delete the thumbnail, because every slide show you create needs to have a thumbnail to link the slide show to the menu screen at the start of your DVD. So, on your menu screen there will always be at least one thumbnail. (The black thumbnail that appears in the middle of your screen when you first open the programme, is a "place holder". It needs to be there and it cannot be deleted. Once you've created a slide show, it will be replaced with the photo you have chosen to be the thumbnail. Every time you create a new slide show, a new thumbnail will be added to your menu screen. The position of thumbnails can be changed, using the second ("Edit") Tab.

You will find a User's Guide on the install disc. It can be accessed by inserting the install disc and clicking on the relevant link, or you can right click on your CD/DVD drive (in "My Computer") and then click on "Explore" to look for it on the install disc - it's a pdf file.

Sonar 4 and midi sound cuts offat start of playback

If you are recording from bar 1 at time 1.00 you might want to start recording one or two bars later. So try starting your song on bar three istead of bar 1

When recording live feed from various guitars I can't get the recordings to synchrinize

Sounds like you have a latency problem. This can be for a variety of reasons, something Cakewalk admits. The reason for that could be everything from processor limitations, not enough RAM, your soundcard, or simply that you need to change the latency configuration in the audio settings menu of the program. Considering that that is the cheapest fix, try changing settings first. Be sure to follor the help information in Cakewalk - they can be a little confusing for Cakewalk (I have no idea why they can't seem to explain their programs after all these years) but you will be able to figure out what settings are right for you.

My guess is that when you record, you are listening to the previously recorded track, and playing to it. Then when you play it all back as a mix, they are not in sync as when you were recording them.

If that is not the problem, plesae explain further. You are able to monitor your previously recorded tracks, right? Not just playing each track "blind" and trying to have them match? Hope not. That is rarely possible - if at all.

If you are monitoring your prerecorded tracks while recording on top of them and it sounds different when you play it back, it's definitely latency.
