I need more RAM for the A25-3072 Satelite

Maximum capacity of this series is 2gb of DDR400. Also labelled PC-3200. You will have to do this in 1gb sticks over two slots under the keyboard.

I recommend matching sticks, but since it doesn't dual channel even when hyperthreading I've noticed no systemic unreliability in unmatched sticks.

To my knowledge, they didn't make laptop DDR in sizes larger than 1gb. 2gb laptop modules were introduced with DDR2

How do i change add ram in a toshiba laptop satellite a25-s279 . I don't see on the bottom where to the ram would be?

It's easy to make the old ram-switch-a-roo if there is no trap-door access on the bottom. expose the top of the keyboard by gently removing the trim cover that's in the way (you may see notches on either end to aide in prying up). Remove the 3 screws - there's a bracket on the center one - take note how it goes. Warning - the keyboard is tethered by a ribbon strip/cable - you'll see it underneath the keyboard - leave it attached - it may be a big hassle to put back the right way! Gently lay the keyboard upside down (you may have to remove the protective cover (one screw) over the ribbon). you'll see the memory on the left. lift the plastic shield back and carefully see how to unseat the stick (there is a clamp/arm on each end) then plug-in and then snap-in the new one - it's notched so it can only go in one way. If you do everything GENTLY and can remember the steps you took so you can put the thing back together, you should be OK. You just saved yourself a nice little pile of cash.

Getting 330 error. In order to fix that, you can run this command at dos prompt > SFC /SCANNOW
It can fix errors at windows XP. Normally there are two memory slots for toshiba satellite. You might be running at 512 or two 256. You can purchase two 512 or i 1g.

Accessing memory (RAM) to upgrade

First of all, remove the battery

Insert a thin object under the securing strip and lift it up.
Be careful, it may be very tight.

Remove the securing strip.
Carefully work with finger to disengage plastic latches securing the securing strip.

Remove three screws and a metal brace securing the keyboard.
Lift off the keyboard and place it on the palmrest

Now you can access the memory modules.
