I have a Magellan Maestro 4040 I just put firmware version 2.62 on. I purchased a 2008/2009 map update today. When I try to load this new map update I get this message, ''The product identifier of the unit Magellan Maestro is not compatible with this upgrade'', followed by ''Your Magellan Maestro has not been updated with the following components - Map Database 31'' What do I have to do to get this to work for me. I now have 21

The software update version corresponds to your map database version:

If you have map database version 27, your software will be updated to v2.62.
If you have map database version 31, your software will be updated to v3.61.

you have to go in and delete all files in sub folder map! than copy and paste off a windows based system from the disk. If you check under file version make sure your map file says 21, or you didnot apply the firmware correctly!
