Oops. You'll have to replace the keyboard.
You can either take it into a repair center or order a replacement from online stores like
http://www.richardscomputer.com/search/?p=P000171240&c=REF&m=TOSHIBA#

and replace the board yourself.

First thing I would ask is this. Was anything spilled on the key board? I had a situation similar to this and I found that my son spilled a Sprite and wiped it up but didn't tell me about it. One way to check this is to hook an aftermarket keyboard that runs off your USB2 port and see if the keys work correctly that way. If they do, I would suspect that something was spilled into your laptop keyboard.

Hp cq60 keybord not working it beeping

Hi,

Myself Srikanth, I am tech support eng at HP. At this point, I recommend you to contact the HP service center if it is under Accidental damage warranty which covers liquid spills. Or if you are computer savy, you can remove the keyboard laptop keyboard connection and check with the external keyboard. This issue will occer when any liquid spilled on keyboard and some of the keys were attached to the circuit. If the external keyboard worked fine then just send me the keyboard part number i will help you to purchase the new keyboard.

Thank you
Srikanth

Hp G62 dead after spill

In most cases, you are in a position where you may need to return it to HP for repair.

There is one thing you can try, but it takes a very gentle hand and touch: use something like Fantastic, or a more eco-friendly spray solution. Gently spray the key board all over where the spill went, which
means probably the whole keyboard.

Let it sit a few minutes, then turn it upside down on paper towels and let it drain.

Then, gently spray it again with plain water and let it sit upside down on more paper towels. Allow it to drain for a long time, something like a day or more.

When you turn the laptop right side up, you may find the keyboard fully functional again. But there is no guarantee. This works mostly on keyboards attached to desktop computers, not integrated into laptops.

The concept is the same - cleanse the keyboard, flush it, and allow it plenty of time to dry. Remember, liquid and electricity, no matter how low voltage, like a keyboard, are not friendly. If you try to use it before it is completely dry, you can fry more than just the keyboard.

It's possible to help it along with a gentle application of a hair blower, but not until after the two cleanings, and at least a day upside down on paper towels.

Good luck.

Cheers!

My keyboard won't work

Hello,

Sounds like ether the keyboard cable is not connected to the motherboard or something was spilled on the keypad. You can open the notebook and see if the cable is attached. If it is, you will need to replace the keypad.

If you are not tech savy, I would take the unit to an authorized service center.

Good Luck,

How to Fix Spilt Liquid on bda25ce.jpg?
You accidentally knocked fruit drink or a late night glass of milk on your laptop or your child spilled a good portion of milk directly into your keyboard. You hear a popping noise, the screen goes black. Water by itself is not as bad as milk or juice, both of which are corrosive/acidic, or coffee, tea, soda, etc.
First and most important -Calm Down and unplug the computer from its power source.
Disconnect it from the power cord and remove the battery. If needs, please remove the keyboard. The old adage - Water and Electricity don't mix - is quite true. For your laptop spilled water, let your laptop dry. Do not attempt to turn on the computer for at least 72 hours. Let it sit in a cool, dry place. If you disassembled the laptop, reassemble it after 72 hours have passed.

Laptop keyboard doesnt work, extensa 5220 laptop . keyboard keys do nothing, boots up fine , and mouse functions fine, can get on facebook , but cant type anything.

Either something got spilled in it or the connection ribbon got jossled lose. The top power bezel should be in with clip snaps. Remove it then the keyboard should pop up after you lightly squeeze the sides in. Look under the keyboard there is a ribbon that connects with a lock snap. Lightly push the lock clip up and push the ribbon back in and snap the clip back on. Do not put it all together yet try booting it apart and try the keyboard. If it still doesnt work power down remove battery unplug it and finish removing the keyboard order u a new 1. They run around $20 brand new.

My son has spilt coke on the laptop 1 key not working O

If you spill drinks on a keyboard, something is bound to break, and apparantly only the O key did... The only way to fix it is to get a new keyboard, I'm sorry. I hope this helps, Yannick.

Laptop keyboard not operational

If you replaced the keyboard with a Dell replacement 1501 keyboard and it still doesn’t work then yes the motherboard will probably have to be replaced. If your son spilled water on the laptop it could clear up after it completely dries. If it was juice, soft drink or sport drink the laptop could develop other issues. The syrup in these kinds of drinks don’t evaporate, they just remain there and accumulate foreign particles like dust, hair, dirt and eventually start to corrode electrical contacts like acid. Similar to the terminal posts on a car battery.

Its most likely just a bad keyboard unless something got spilled on the laptop. I would call Toshiba customer support and have a toshiba repair shop look at it. 1-800-457-7777
