How to change decimal indicator/symbol from a dot to a comma?

How can I get my Canon Scientific Calculator (F-788dx) to show comma instead of a dot for decimal symbol? It's because I want to set it to display the European style.

I don't think you can change the display. I looked in the manual. Hopefully, some day, this will be available.

SOURCE: reset?

Okay, I did what the best solution did and worked with it.

"1. press 2nd F (left top corner)
2. ENG/FIX (the button next to 2nd F)
3. press 0 (if you don't want calculator to round off any decimals)"

In order to get your exact value of pi, in step #3, instead of 0, press the decimal [ . ]
This should give you no decimals when entering a number and give you 3.141592654... when you input pi.
Hope that works/helps.

Press [ON/C] and [0] together. Memory will get erased, number base is set to decimal, and display format is reset to floating point.

I want to bring comma as seperator between thousands

This calculator does not have a separator for thousands, millions, etc. This feature may have seemed to the designers to be unimportant in a scientific calculator.
You can however change the decimal mark from the dot to the comma. To do that, press [SHIFT][Mode] to enter (Setup).
Press the Arrow down. In new screen look for 5:Disp.

How can I get the comma button on canon f-604 help pls

The question is : Is there a comma button? I don't think there is one. The comma as a decimal marker is used only in France and a few other countries. On some calculators (mainly HP's) one can select to use a comma or a period (dot) but most others calculators manufactures do not bother with this distinction. In itself it is not such a huge deal.
Anyway if is available on your calculator it should be set by pressing [2nd] or [SHIFT] followed by the [.] symbol.. I checked pictures of the calculator face but could not recognize the symbol. It did not like a comma to me.

Sorry but you cannot. You can change the decimal mark from dot to comma but you cannot have the calculator separate the digits between thousands (thousands separator).

I just replaced the batteries in my HP 12C calculator and when I turned it back on the display looks like this 0,000. How do I get the display to show decimals instead of a comma?

Hello,
Here is what the manual for the HP 12C Platimum financial calculator says on page 17 of 275

Digit Separators
As a number is keyed in, each group of three digits to the left of the decimal point is automatically separated in the display. When the calculator is first turned on after coming from the factory — or after Continuous Memory is reset — the decimal point in displayed numbers is a dot, and the separator between each group of three digits is a comma. If you wish, you can set the calculator to display a comma for the decimal point and a dot for the three-digit separator. To do so,
turn the calculator off, then press and hold down the [ . ] key while you press [ON] Doing so again sets the calculator to use the original digit separators in the display.

Hope it helps.

500 x 16 reads 8.000,0 instead of 8,000.00

The calculator has two digit-separation marks: The dot [.] and the comma [,].
By default the decimal (radix) mark is the dot, and the comma serves as a 3-digit separator. In European countries (especially France) the radix mark is the comma and the 3-digit separator is the dot.

To switch the marks:
  1. Turn calculator OFF
  2. Press and HOLD the [.] key while pressing [ON].

To change the ´comma´, make sure the calculator is switched to off, press (.) key and maintain, switch the calculator ON. This operation changes dot to comma and vice-versa.
