Question about Vizio L37 Television
Test the dvd player on another tv to insure it is working, use the same cables you are using right now.
check the connector, if you are using s-video there may be a broken wire or loose solder joint to the pin.. i would start by replacing the cables and see if it clears up the issue.. if not, check the tv settings and make sure the av inputs are set to pal/secam/ntsc depending on you region and the output of your dvd player.
if your tv is equipped with it, make sure the input channel is correct (should be under settings in the menu).
