Has it enough compression ? because i have the experience it have a questionable closing system for carburetor air filter it is not always fully locked take care to close it replace parts if its not as soon as this problem is there or its to late , on the way it should but when it is not good closed it leaks in much cases and the piston had often grooves by polution from graveldust it can have lost compression by it first to do is control the piston.
In the event that all of this is not the subject the tank airiation and fuelhoses to control. 51MM Cylinder Piston Kit For HUSQVARNA PARTNER K750 K760 REP 506 38 61 71
What may be happening is that the carburetor is set too lean, not enough oxygen in the mix... richen the carburetor a little more and test it out, repeat procedure.
Hello John , I would suggest you remove the muffler. Between the muffler and the cylinder is a spark arrester screen. Hold the edge of the screen with a pair of pliers and burn off the carbon from the screen with a propane torch. Reinstall muffler and screen after it cools down. I hope this helps.
could be several things, first always inspect the cylinder for scoring, if there is scoring there will be compression loss once the saw warms up, second check for fuel hose damage either in the tank or out side of the tank, third, ignition coil could be shutting down after it gets hot.
It's hard to say. 41CCs should handle a 16" chain reasonably well.
What are you cutting? Hard woods oak and maple are more difficult than pine.
Are you digging in the dogs and trying to force the saw through the wood? Let the saw determine how fast it wants to cut, I rarely engage the dogs on my 359, I let the weight of the saw work for me.
How sharp is your chain? Have the rakers been filed to low?
Is the saw bogging down at speed before contacting the wood?
Your saw was set extremely lean to meet EPA requirements. It is fitted with adjustment limiters also mandated by the EPA. To lean can impact how it performs.
All of these and few not coming to mind effect how fast the saw cuts. This isn't the answer you wanted but it is honest. We would have to see you cut and examine your saw to provide anything better. HTH Lou
two things could be happening.......first is vapor lock......make sure you breather tube is clear and working........next is ....it could have a bad ignition coil on it.....after the coil gets hot the spark can become irratic or just not work any more.....
Replace the bar. Your bar has gone bad and that is why you are losing power. Bars are made by the chain saws to be completely oiled at all times. When the bar does not get oil the bar will start to warp and that is what will cause you lack of power when trying to due a top cut
