Question about Dryers
The dryer will run for about 10 minutes, then it will shutdown, i think it has to do with the thermal overloads, but I'm not sure. After the dryer cools down, you can restart the dryer with the same result.
You're exactly right, Mike :)
It's the thermal overload on the motor itself. The motor needs to be replaced. there's 2 kinds of motors. the cheaper one runs about $60 and the other about $110. very simple to replace. make sure to but a new blower wheel because of how hard they are to take out, so you need to break it off. good luck :)

Hello Scott Joseph Brandt - Since you have already replaced the thermal limiter check your breaker or fuses. Some dryers are run by two separate fuses, one for power and one for heat-ours is. If it is not the power source more than likely the issue lies with your heating coil.
