Question about Homelite Mighty Lite Lawn Trimmer

Open Question

Homelite trimlite UT 20760 string trimmer 2 questions as a result of dislodging some parts while removing casing to reestablish starter pull cord: 1. How to attach throttle cable to metal throttle plate. There are numerous holes that it could fit into -I tried the most logical hole but throttle lever still not working properly. Cannot find a diagram on the web to show how it attaches. 2. Rubber tubing attached to fuel filter inside the gas tank became unattached outside the gas tank. Can wiggle it back into gas tank but is there an access method to inside the gas tank to attach it back to the fuel filter tube?

SOURCE: Working on greasing up my

Were you greasing the flex drive cable? That is really the only part requiring it unless you have a gear drive on the string head. Attatch the throttle cable onto the throttle plate hole which gives you the least amount of slack with the trigger off. That way, throttle response will be instant. You don't want but a little slack in that cable.

NEED TO REPLACE SPARK ARRESTER ON HOMELITE LITE 26CC STRING TRIMMER

Remove the Torx screws holding the rear cover on. Then remove the larger Torx screws holding the muffler on to the exhaust port of the cylinder. There will be a gasket there. The spark arrestor will be mounted in the opening to the muffler. You can scrape or burn the carbon off of it. If the spark arrestor is real clogged up, then the muffler probably is too. It should also be cleaned. The inside of the engine probably is carboned up too( if arrestor and muffler are). They all should be cleaned of carbon. It helps the engine perform at its' best and breathe like it needs to.
