Your device will run under XP but no more under Vista or Windows XP . HP doesn't support this unit anymore .
Installing a Virtual version of XP on your system or genuine version on a secundary are the only options .

Installing your audio drivers on XP:- ***important
You have to install the "Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp33867)" first, before intalling the audio drivers Conexant CX20549-12 Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (sp41836.exe).

If you reverse the procedure your audio won't work.

hi it's normal you need to install "Microsoft uaa bus driver" and then windows will be able to recognize your high definition audio sound card, you can find it on Microsoft web page.

the company made it like that so u can't downgrade the OS sorry

have to install the high definition audio bus driver first. Doesnt really matter where you find it, this one is from hp for example
