If nothing, absoutely nothing appears on your screen, not even BIOS startup and not even with AC adapter, your only solution is to take your laptop to a reapir service, to check point by point electronic components of main board.

The display of my laptop is not working when i switch it on the backlight glows but nothing appears on the screen it doesn't even boot.

It would be helpful if we knew the Make, Model of Laptop and the OS you are using? Try a hard restart , remove ALL media, DVD, CD, USB, etc., unplug , remove battery, leave battery out, plug in , reboot. Describe what happens, Fan spins? LED's blink? HDD spins up? Sound? Anything on screen? Have you tried a System Restore/Recovery? You can start by removing the HDD and testing it, if you done have a USB to sata/ide adapter take it to a Qualified Computer Tech.

Blank screen

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

My TI-84 silver edition has frozen, It is stuck on the same screen and nothing appears when I hit buttons, it wont even turn off. When I remove the batteries and place them back in the same screen appears....

I had the same problem. I remove all four batteries and the battery backup that is underneath the little phillips screw in the battery compartment. I immediately replaced it and the other batteries and everything worked. FYI, others have called for keeping the batteries out for 8 hours.

Blank Screen

sounds like the mother board is failed..try one more thing..remove battery, run on power supply only, and see if that helps..otherwise, it's motherboard replacement time.

Black Screen

try hooking up an external video source. Check to see if the computer is actually booting up. if the computer boots up, then the LCD invertor or Backlight of the screen is bad, need to be replaced.

If the computer does not boot up after hooking up an external video source, then most likely your motherboard is bad!

need to be replaced.
