Question about Kodak EasyShare Z612 Digital Camera

I have a EasyShare Kodak mx1063 and it turns off after taking one picture. Swapped batteries and that does not seem to be it. Brand new. Any ideas?

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive. First try removing the batteries and cleaning the camera contacts with a small metal brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. If that doesn't fix the problem, check the Kodak Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

its better use Kodak battery for you Kodak camera.FYI there's a lot of brand of AA battery like energizer, duracel and also kodak.if you compare the size or the height of all battery its totally different.especially the kodak are more taller than the other.thats why if you use other brand it works only 5 shots only or less.

Try cleaning the contacts from the battery and the battery compartment of the camera. I had the same problem, used a cotton swab to clean and this fixed it, it seems to be a common problem.

Kodak easyshare mx1063 camera was dropped and display is broken.

Sorry, but Kodak does not sell digital camera parts (except for the wrist strap) to consumers. Your options are basically to either send the camera to Kodak for repairs or purchase a "parts" camera for somewhere like eBay and use it to repair yours.

Remove the batterty andclean the internal battery contact with an
eraser on the end of a pencil- take a flash light to look inside the compartment to enfure they are bright and clean.
Make sure the battery door and contact srip are a good tight fit
Hold the door down with a finger whilst switching on
Other than that there is little moreyou can do

Kodak CX7330. turns on but LCD screen is black and won't take a pic

It sounds like a bad connection on the ribbon cable of the LCD screen to the camera's motherboard. The fact that when you physically move the camera around and you can get the screen to then work, tells me something is loose inside.

Good luck!
