It looses fire when hot. I checked the fire at the spark plug and no fire. I replaced the spark plug and still no fire. Any suggestions?
Anyways.... your coil is throwing intermittent spark. Which is a sign of a coil going bad. It's basically malfunctioning when it's around severe heat. Don't bang your head against the wall bud, get a new coil assy.
Run non-ethanol fuel in it. It will run 80-180 degrees cooler. Also use fresh fuel and a premium 2 stroke synthetic(does not absorb moisture) oil like echo or husqvarna. Run 40:1 instead of 50:1. That should do it. Good luck.
Testimonial: "Thanks, but oil and fuel type have nothing to do with the engine firing or not."
It does if theres water in it. It's not the coil or it wouldn't start in the first place. Carb adjustments are usually starting cold issues. I'm going by most common problems. Most people don't have a good idea of what ethanol fuel does to a small air cooled engine until they blow their engine. I see an 8 ft pile of them every time I get my chain saw serviced to remind me.
