Question about Bosch 7 - 1/4" Skilsaw Circular Saw
Look for the button on the right side of the handle. Other models require you to put a phillips head screwdriver into a hole in the blade to hold it against the body of the saw.

The 5150 did not come with an arbor lock. The manual clearly states. Do not over tighten. Give a quick blow to the included tool to loosen.
I just set my blade to catch my wood work bench by a 1/16" or so and give the tool a quick tap. Works fine if you keep everything clean and lubricated.

I did not see a lock button on my model. (Are there other Skilsaw model #5150 that have this? If not, why even post this as a possibility?) Luckily my blade did have a hole in it to insert a screw driver. I had to turn the blade just right in order for it to catch. The old blade came off great, but the new blade I just put on did not have a hole. I had to stick the screw driver in one of the teeth perpendicular to the blade nearest the body while I tightened the nut.

Mine is absolutely stuck. tried putting everything in the hole including a screw and it broke my socket trying to loosen it clockwise as stated. why skil never put a blade lock on these is beyond me.

I have that saw just stick a screwdriver into one of the teeth perpendicular to the blade and when you tighten the bolt it will keep the blade from turning works like a charm .

Should be a locking mechanism on back of saw push or pull the hold blade still...then use adjustable wrench to loosen nut on saw blade..pull off blade..slap a new one on..and away you go!!
