Model LN32C540F2DXZA. Why does part of screen get very light after being on for a few minuets?

The picture does not go out but gets bright enough that it is hard to see except around the edges where it is still normal.

SOURCE: picture brightens then darkens

Trying with a DVD will rule the tuners in the set in or out and also suggest a setting in the set or a box if used is causing this issue.

SOURCE: samsung LCD model #LN32A330JIDXZA has a very bright color, can hardly see the picture

My problem began the same way, then the tv turned off everytime I tried to turn it on. First I opened the tv, made a list of all the electrolithyc caps values and temps in the power board and gone to the store and bought all except the bigger one (like USD 8) changed all the caps and then the tv didnt turn off again but image was all white.

Then searching in youtube found about the t-con board issues but the entire card was too expensive to dump so searched how to repair the t-con and found I can change the main chip so bought 2 in ebay from china took like one month but was just USD 8, so carefully cut all the old chip legs, retired the chip, used a soldering iron to retire the old legs, cleaned, put bits of new solder in the tracks, placed the new chip and began to paste leg by leg, tested continuity and checked for solder bridges between legs, assembled, turned on the tv and half screen has strips bot the left side was ok so rechecked flex cables between t-con and lcd and found bent tracks, carefully repositiones, assembled and now my mom has a brand new samsung 32in LCD to watch CSI and stuff... Sooo F_ck u Samsung LOL

Hope you can repair yours, every problem is a world so may not work for you but for USD 8 in chips, patience and some pulse soldering i think it worth the try.

Samsung 32" LCD TV

Sounds like Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Why doesnt my wave radio screen light up when the lights in theroom are on ?

That doesn't make sense does it? A few things first.... how bright are the lights in the room? Is the display of the WAVE facing the lights? The radio has a photo sensor that detects light, but for it to be effective, it has to "see" the light. It could be that you have a bad photo sensor, but I would try a few things first. 1. Make sure the light in the room is sufficiently bright. 2. Make sure the display is pointed in the direction of the light. 3. Make sure nothing is covering the photo sensor (like a piece of tape or something.... maybe a previous owner wanted to "turn off" the light". 4. If none of the above get you going, shine a flashlight at the photo sensor (a bright one). This should turn on the display. If this works (and nothing else did), that just means you ain't getting enough light to the sensor under your normal conditions and you will need to correct that underlying problem first,

Good luck!

Voire 46" plasma tv- best color settings, to much white

The proper way to set flat screen tv's is opposite of old school CRT tv. First, find a movie with dark scenes and pause on a really dark part. Now set brightness only high enough to see some detail - no more. then go to a really bright scene and set contrast just high enough for good brightness. You may need to go back and forth a few times to get good setting.

Power turns off and on every few minutes

This model had some odd problems--answers to a few questions might suggest what is wrong

When set is on does brightness come up very slow or is somewhat darker when on?

that might indicate a lamp issue----set will detect if screen not bright enough etc.

With set on is picture normal? (no unusual color in back ground on screen or such? set is prone to light engine failures--the engine communicates with other parts of the set--something not right it shuts down.

My final thought is a power supply problem----this is not a easy set to get apart to service or look for things---for the most part the entire front screen has to be removed to gain access to the boards. Note the lack of many rear screws on the unit.

Screen keeps going black

It is possible but the only way to know is to try that.

Lamps have about a 2000 hour life span which works out to about 2 years for the average user.

Usually in this model just before the lamp fails the picture either comes on somewhat darker than usual or gets dark just before the picture goes out.

The set will detect lamp is not bright enough etc and blank the screen.

The lamp light (I have seen this) sometimes will not come on even if the lamp has a total failure----no picture at all.

You might also check with a local shop or someone with the same model so you can swap lamps to see what the problem is.

Let me know what happens.

Brightness on VS-50605

The darkness shouldnt be that exspensive some trouble shooting and a few dollars should straighten that out. The screen however will cost a couple of hundred dollars, although that would still be cheap for a big screen, and that model does play exceptionall well when operating properly.
