See attached photos of parts in your set---see also typical photos of convergence problems.

Total parts cost under 25 dollars on EBAY and board with parts involved is easy to get out.

If this information helped out, rate this solution as very helpful. If you need to know how and what to do to repair the set I can tell you.

You probly have a convergence cicuit failure. Replacing the convergencr IC's will probly fix it.
I recommend a professional repairman to
do it though. Particularly if it needs further adjustments after the IC's are replaced.

I have double blurry vision with green and purple/red splashes on all inputs (ghostlike)

This is a very common problem. If you want to fix this yourself you will need to be able to solder, but other than that its a very easy fix. Both the convergence output ic's need to be replaced (PN STK392-110). If you have a repairman do this for you it will run $300-$500 to repair. Let me know if you want to fix this yourself and i will assist you further.

Thanks

Double vision

The double vision is from bad convergance ic's and posibly some support resistors or pico fuses. if you are not an electronics tech I suggest to have one do it. the ICs can range from $45.00 to $60.00 each and is suggested to replace both of them. some mitsies had one IC which I cant remember how much it was. tech charges vary. some prices may be $150.00 to $300.00 shop around.

Double vision

In this particular unit what you're describing is a failure of the convergence amps. This unit takes two STK392-110 Sanyo built Ic's and one or more 2.2 ohm/1w resistors for the yoke return. replace these and you should restore normal function after a little convergence touch-up.
It's not an expensive job in a qualified shop either. If any of this sounds a bit complicated take it in and have the job done.
Have a great day!
