Previous problems- We had a linksys wireless router last month and the whole network was going off and on at certain parts of the day. Bellsouth said it was the modems power adaptor and switched our modem out anyway. We had more problems and we switched the router out with a new one. We even switched the RJ45 cable out with a new one. Now the network is perfect for all the PC’s and sucks for my MACS plugged in.
I have the following computers hooked up to a Brand New Belkin N 150 Enhanced wireless router using Bellsouth's FastAccess DSL Xtreme service. The problem is that all my MACs are getting a very low download speed.
MAC's
MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5 Mbps download 418.3 Kbps Upload wired only
MacPro 2x2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.0 Mbps download 404.2 Kbps Upload wired only
MacMini 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Mbps download 400.0 Kbps Upload wired only
PLEASE CHECK AND SEE IF YOU HAVE ANTI-VIRUS FIRE WALLS UP ON THE MACS ? HAVING 2 FIREWALLS IS EXCESSIVE AND ONE OR THE OTHER SHOULD BE TURNED OFF . TRY THAT ?!
I had the same problem.
My solution was related to the fact that I had configured my router for OpenDNS.
Once I added those DNS servers to the DNS tab in System Preferences on my macbook Pro, the speed problem disappeared.
Hope this helps you, as well.

I update my Dell Studio Desktop from Vista to Window 7. Now I cannot get an Internet connection because Window 7 cannot see or recognize this Belkin driver. When I go to Control Panel and then Device Manager, there is a yellow icon beside the Ethernet Controller. How can I get this Ethernet Controller driver from the Internet?
