Why doesn't it work?

The player is having problems reading the CD. This can be for several reasons. Remove the CD and see if a different one has the same problem. This way you can find out if it’s the player or just the CD. Wipe off the smudges on the back of cd. If cd has too many scratches or smudges it won’t play. There can be many other reasons why it doesn’t play.

IS IT A RECORED ONE, OR STORE BOUGHT, SOME HOME MADE ONES WILL NOT WORK.

If your CD is not scratched,the optical lens need replacement.

1.The DVD Drive makes two-three times noise than stop spin the media CD or DVD.
-Bad DVDRW Drive.
2 The drive does spin CD-DVD but doesn't load.
-. Bad NDMi PCB VEP79180 or VJB79180
3. Drive spinning but don't load CD or DVD
More chance Bad Drive or Problem with drive PCB.
Open top Cover of drive, open tray, close tray.
If laser flashed but doesn't play CD-DVD more chance bad drive PCB

your cd drive in system not detect cd clean lens using lens cleaner and try to play

The pladder motor is bad, "disc sits on top" most be replaced to regain normal operation.

i have repaired nsm jukes with same problem sometimes its the cd laser at fault other times the opto

this player uses a philips mechanism, spindle motor failure is very common on these mechanisms, yours may be on its way out. take the lid off and insert a cd and if you can hear the laser trying to read the cd without it spinning, it's definately the spindle motor.

first try play Lens Cleaner CD, if you are lucky ,it's done!!
