Question about AEG Washing Machines

1 Answer

Hello all! I have an AEG 74639 UPDATE washer that has been working flawless and with a very good cleaning results. Lately I have noticed some debris from sandy clothes (kids clothes from sanbox) are still in the clothes after wash aswell as some washingpowder seems to create threadlike stains on dark fabric (guess on all fabric but most visible on dark) There has been no error codes and I have cleaned the filter in the down right corner and the flush pump works. but to my recollection the machine used to circulate water during washing spraying or pouring from small rubber faucet on top of glass in the lid, this does not happen at all nowdays, so my question, (I have sofar not opened the machine) is there a seperate pump for this that should/could be cleaned, I cant find the manual, and havent found one on the net. AEG sweden (where I live) dont list the machine. Greatful for any tip.. Kind Regards Fredrik

There is a separate pump for the circulation. Either the pump or the hose between the pump and the top of the bellows get clogged. Try carefully to clean with a wire or similar, without puncturing anywhere. Washing effect is reduced when this circulation is hampered.

My AEG lavamat turbo 16810 update, makes a rumbling noise when the pump runs. The filter is clear so I presume I need to remove a foreign body from pump. My question is how do I get to it. can you give...

I'm not sure if this model has an access panel with 2 screws at the bottom, but if not, An easy way to access is by tilting the washer against the wall and removing the bottom panel, Should be 4 screws. from there you can remove the hose and retrieve the debris from the pump most likely change. have a fairly good size bowl and towels close by to catch the water. make sure the washer is disconnected from it's power source. Hope this helps.

The serviceman obviously didnt know what he was doing cos a new pump is very cheap and you DO NOT skim them. New brushes are even cheaper.!!! Dont pay him.!!!!!

Debrie found on clothes after washing

Hi,
This is sometimes caused by grease coming from the drum bearing through a failing seal. If this isn't checked and repaired as necessary, the drum bearing will fail pretty soon and then the machine will make a nasty grinding noise and that will be the end of it. I hope you have some other cause in your case! Do make sure the filter is cleaned and then run the machine on a hot cycle with no clothes in it to give it a really good clean.

Hope this helps. D.

AEG OKO Lavamat Update washing machine LAVALOGIC 1600

Hello,
This error code (C3) means your water sensor has detected a leak. it will stop when the sensor is dry.
Try getting the water out of the trap door and letting the machine dry.

I would also unplug it for secirity reasons.

Basically your water pump is getting tired or the sensor is dirty. Try cleaning the sensor or else you may have to change the pump.

Good Luck!!

Zanussi zdt6252 stops on 'Rinse & Hold' midway thru Wash Cycle consistently...

The problem here is being caused by Blocked Filters in the Water suppoly In line/pipe. There are two(2) filters in this line, at the water connection point and at the Washer connect point(one at each end). If these filters become blocked, then the result will be a restricted water In-Flow and hence the Rinse & Hold Status. Disconnect the Water-Supply pipe and remove the plastic filters giving them a thorough cleaning before replacing them. All will be rectified by this action. Peter...
