Question about Brookstone Slim Profile CD System CD Player
It's very rare that a remote control would just stop working, take out the new battery and look at the contacts. Are they slightly corroded or tarnished in some way? If so, use a small nail file or emery board to get them shiny. Try it again. If there is still a problem you need to find out if it still transmitting so, use a radio with AM or Medium Wave/Long Wave on it, press any button on the remote and tune through the band and you should hear it pulsing.
If there is no pulsing sound or the item it is for is not responding then you may have to replace the remote. Sometimes those cheap remotes with a book of codes can work the item in most cases. I have a Rotel CD player and have used such a remote to work it.
Hope this helps you and the best of luck.
