Question about Lexmark X2600 InkJet Printer
The 2600 won't scan onto a MAC using OSX. Hitting the scan button on the Lexmark launches Mac's Image Capture, but no matter what you choose, the SCAN command tab won't highlight and allow you to choose it. The manual's MAC section has scanning instructions for old MAC OS, but OSX and Image Capture do recognize the printer and model.
Edward, I have this same problem. Were you able to solve it? Anyone, can you help? I have installed the drivers. When I connect the printer to my Mac, it launches ImageCapture and previews the scan fine. But I am unable to get the "scan" button to become active, adn there is no place to save the scan. If I click "save pdf to iphoto" it saves a pdf of the entire screen, rather than just the photo. Appears not to be Mac compatible for scanning purposes. Thank you for your help.
