I have the exact printer and they are fussy ! If you are certain that there is not even the slightest bit of paper ripped off inside then try re-setting it , power off for about a minute , then re-start , if you still can't see it try hot swapping the usb connection to another port ?!! good luck

What do I do when my printer is sure there is still a paper jam when I already cleared it?

There is a small plastic switch, really tiny and light, so light that a small bit of paper can depress it. This detects the presence of paper in the paper run. If it is stuck down, probably by a sliver of paper torn off when clearing a jam it can cause the printer to do as you have described.

Reports paper jam, but there is no paper in the printer

hello,

There is probably still some bit of paper jammed in there. Did the paper rip at all when you removed the paper jam? I assume you tried turning the printer off for awhile?

Completely uninstall the printer from the system, re-install it, then try again. I hope you have the printer's software.

First, go to Start > control panel > printers.

Right click on each printer icon you see, scroll to delete and click. Make sure all the printer there are deleted.

Go back to control panel, click on program and features (for windows vista/7) or Add/Remove Programs (win xp).

Disconnect the printer cord from the computer.

Uninstall every driver/software that is associated with the printer.

Restart your computer.

After your computer has been restarted, install the printer driver afresh and connect the printer to the computer.

If this doesn't solve the problem, please let me know.

Good luck.

My printer wont print and the alarm light is flashing

Try this
Turn off the printer and unplug it.
Remove the print cartridges. Look at them, are they leak free? Look into the cartridge holders. Are they clean?. Dried ink or blobs should be cleaned off with a little alcohol and a qtip.

Are the little wire holders bent or broken? Do they look exactly the same?

Turn the printer back on reinstall the cartridges.Check in your printer preferences/services and clean your cartridges.

Now turn it off again and unplug it. Open the paper jam door and gently push the paper roller forward until it clicks. At the same time, look for even the tiniest scrap of anything in there.
Close the paper jam door and plug your printer back in. Restart your computer.

If the problem is not solved. You may need to reinstall the printer. Do You have your original disc? Be sure to do a clean install. ( Turn off all running programs in the lower right corner including your virus control. Also go to Toolbar>tools>internet options>general>and delete all you cookies and temporary internet files.) Turn off and unplug your printer.

Reinstall the software. When it is finished if it has not told you to plug your print back in do so now. Restart your computer and turn your printer on.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.

Printer will not print in black was the first problem and now after less than a minute after turning on it has the light for 'on' flashing green and amber constantly

Try this:
1- Pull the cartridges out, restart printer then reinstall the cartridges again
2- The blinking can mean any of these: paper out, paper jam, cover open, printing error. Please check that there is enough paper, no paper jam (sometimes even the smallest piece of paper will cause that error, then restart both (the printer and the computer)
Best of luck

I was unsing my printer when it jammed. I cleared the paper however, the alarm light keeps coming on. I have tried turing the printer off, turning off the entire computer, turning the printer and computer...

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
