Question about Teledyne Laars Laars Lx Pool Heater / 400,000 Btu / Propane Gas
I have had this problem more than once over the years. The first time I found cleaning the igniter rod by lightly sanding it with an abrasive cloth or sandpaper corrected the situation. The second time was one that I really struggled with, as it would sometimes work after moving wires around. I finally found the solution had nothing to do with the heater itself, but was due to a loose ground wire in my timer box. Cleaning and reconnecting the three ground wires was all it took. I can't tell you how long it took me to finally find this solution.

The high limit switch is shutting down too soon (too low of a temperature) or the fan on switch is not turning on at a high enough temperature...are they in backwards??? Even though the switches work they are not turning on and off at the right temps... so they may be out of calibration....
