My Indesit 7105 has flashing H20 lights, have checked but no blockages. It fills and drains fine, It wont agitate though, any ideas?

The machine does not fill with water or 'H20' flashes in the display.
The water inlet hose is kinked. • The water inlet hose is not connected to the water supply. • The water pressure is too low. • The water tap has not been turned on to allow water to flow into the machine. • There is no water supply to the house. • The inlet valve filter is blocked. • The START/PAUSE button has not been pressed.

Faulty pressure switch machine thinks there is no water in the machine.

Why is my GE top load mechanical washer not filling with water?

You may need to use a Y adapter to feed pressure to both inlets to get the machine to fill. If it senses no pressure on one inlet it wont fill. You can run both inlets to on source. Since you did not post the model number it is hard to say. Some machines also test the water temp to see if it is warm enough to start or it needs to preheat.

Beginning of wash cycle starts agitating instead of filling w/water.

the water pressure/level switch contacts are welded together, usually the load selector switch for the amount of water lets it fill to a determined water level and the water level creates pressure in a tube from the tub to this switch and stops water fill and starts the wash agitation cycle, replace this switch inside the control panel

Soap left in clothes

Is the machine a FAV6800A or FAV9800A? Do you take the “Sd” error code for high level of suds? If we are talking about a FAV6800A or FAV99800A and the series is 12 or more you have a 2 level sensing pressure switch. This will give you about 3.5” for mid fill and 7” for high fill. I have only seen the Bulky wash cycle fill to High level fill.

Are you using HE detergent and the amounts called for in Use & Care section of the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual ?

If you have a series 10 thru 12 FAV6800A you will have 3 Level pressures switch sensing. Disregard the Low Fill setting IMOP it doesn’t put enough water in the machine for adequate wash. I believe that is why Maytag did away with it and went to 2 level sensing pressure switch in later series…………Rich

WATER FILLS WONT SHUT OFF

The pressure swith (load size) is what controls that chang that. A small hose runs from the bottom of your tub and as the water fills a measerd amount of water fills that tube and pressure build up in their operates that switch and activates the timer to stop filling and start agitating.

Kenmore 80 series top loader washing machine 110 volt was plugged bu mistake into 220 volt outlet. Machine will no longer fill water or agitate but when put into spinning it will spin

First off I can tell you the water valve coils are probably cooked / burned out. With POWER OFF / unit unplugged you can remove one wire from each of the coils and check for resistance across the coils. No resistance = open coil = no fill. NO FILL = no agitate because the water level pressure switch is trying to sense the water level that never rises. If there is no water then there will be no agitation.

If you really want to see if it will agitate in it's current condition you can fill the unit with a garden hose on a low level water setting and fill it a little over half way to see if it will agitate. (You will have to remove the hose and close the lid)

If that works then the water vavle would be the culprit causing your condition. The wire wound in the coil windings of the water valve is smaller in thickness than a human hair and would easily fail if 220VAC was put across a 110V winding.
