Re: instrument panel

The entire instrument panel or just the lighting for the instrument panel? i would first check the fuses, then check for a bad ground or a short. my jeep lost all gauges after mudding in a storm, the ground was corroded, i spliced it into a new 0 gauge gorund that i tied into the body every 12"...

check the fuses, then check your battery to engine, and battery to frame or engine to frame grounds, take them off, clean all connections, and remount.. i weld mine these days just to be on the safe side.

not meant to be a solution, just a placeto start in diagnosing the issue.

hope this helps

This is any help. May not be of any help. Here goes.
Red wire is Power
Yellow is radio memory
Black is ground
No mention of a black? Hmmmm
Double check the wire schematic, there might be a boo boo in that area. - Good Luckand get it fixed before your radio goes poof.

What is the easiest way to install a gm-x334 amp

yeah thats fine

but to be honest it would be better to look in the back of the radio for rca jacks

but you can tap into the rear speakers wires

also connect the negative of the amp to a metal point on the car, not the negative of the battery

and the positive of the amp to the positive of the

also you need to find a remote wire (this is usually behind the radio)
so im guessing you will have to take out the radio
unless you add a switch from the postive of the battery to the remote jack of the amp
and manually turn on and off the amp while driving the car

but this runs the risk of leaving the amp on and draining the battery

so i suggest taking out the radio and using the wires behind it

Need to install a cdplayer in 70 chevy truck?

Because of the year of the truck you will not have any wires pre-wired in the truck, go to a Radio Shack, car audio store or Best buy and buy yourself some speaker wire for vehicles, about 5 ft of 14 - 16 gauge yellow wire, 5 ft of 14 - 16 gauge red wire a couple of 10 amp fuses and 5ft of 4 gauge black wire.

You are going to run the Yellow, Red, Black wires together from the radio space where the radio sits in down to your steering column, the speaker wires will go to your speakers from the radio, a + and a - lead to your speakers and connect them as needed.

Now back under your dash you will connect the yellow wire from the radio to the 12 volt + wire under your steering columns 12 volt power wire with a fuse inline, if you hook up a test light to this wire it will light up the test light without the car switch being turned on, the red wire will hook up to your ignition switch wire and your balck wire to the vehicles ground chassis, basically ground that wire to a non painted surface of the vehicle. This radio needs to be hardwired like I explained.

Good luck and hope it helps.

I need a wiring diagram for installing 2 LT980-2

do you need help just for the power or for the audio or both?

power it is simple
positive goes to the battery but with a fuse in the middle
negative goes to a metal ground point on the car (but not battery)
remote goes to the radio with should have a blue and white cable if radio does not have remote line then use the acc wire from radio

for sound
your amp does two speakers and im guessing you want the back ones amplified
so cut the 4 wires that come from the radio and goes to the back speakers 2 positive and two negative
and connect this to the input the phono terminals on the back (unless your radio has phono terminals for audio out on the back side

then take the output from the amp and run it to the speakers one positive and negative to each speaker

i cant seem to find a wiring diagram for that amplifier but i can give you a more genral diagram

GM09SR in 2006 Trailblazer needs to be reboot

I had the same issues with the Scosche GM09SR module in a 2004 Chev Avalanche. There are problems with the modulke, not your vehicle, replace it with a different type. The first issue with mine was that it would not tiurn the radio on & it made a cahtter sound while the key was on. After rebooting it, the second problem showed up months later. Module started chattering again. I did not want to take a chance on damaging my truck's electrical system or the head unit & replaced it. Best Buy installer says they have had nothing but problems with this specific module & do not even carry Scosche any more. Best Buy or Scosche won't do anything about the design flaw in the module. Replace it with another good quality module & forget about it. I purchased a PAC, no issues as of yet.
