Question about Frigidaire FEF376 Electric Kitchen Range
Unplug the unit, then manually depress and hold the light switch on the frame of the unit while plugging it back in. The lock should go back into the proper position.

I had a similar problem. Turned out that the locking road hung up and the motor wasn't powerful enough to move it. So I removed the two screws that hold down the cooktop and freed up the locking rod. Then I turned the range back on with the door open, but holding in the door switch as if it were closed. the lock then completed its locking cycle. Then I was good to go. Hope this helps somebody else.

Try this first:
Turn off power to unit.
Open the door.
Turn power back on.
Hold in on door switch until lock cycles to unlock.
If this doesn't work then the door lock motor may need to be replaced.

Try holding in on the door switch and starting a clean cycle. Let the latch rotate around and the cycle start, then cancel the cycle and the latch should rotate to the unlocked position. You will have to keep the door switch pressed during all of these steps.
Post back and let me know what happens.

Tips for a great answer:
I appreciate your post, friend!
Based off the information you have provided the door on your Frigidaire range will not unlock. I would suggest performing a reset on your range and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If that does not work you can attempt to start another clean cycle and right before it starts press the cancel button. If neither trouble shooting step unlocks the door your latch may be broken. I would then recommend having a professional technician perform a diagnosis and repair. I hope this helps. -Matt

Good Morning Kay Warren, I appreciate your post!
Based off the information you have provided the door on your Frigidaire range is locked and will not open. If you look on your control panel you should see a clear or cancel button, hold that down for three to five seconds. This should unlock your door. If this does not unlock the door you can attempt to perform a reset. You can do this by disconnecting the power from your range for ten minutes. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Hello Youngmi Park - Typically error code F9 indicates that the range has experienced maximum oven door unlock attempts, open time, or lock attempts exceeded. Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and this will usually clear most false error codes. If it proves to be ineffective, the range may possibly have an issue with the motor door latch, lock motor assembly, door light switch, or EOC. Contact a professional to move forward accurately for a properly diagnose.
