Question about Samsung ML 1210 Laser Printer
There IS paper loaded. I've tried switching the printer on and off--no luck.
How does the ML-1210 let me know it needs a new toner cartridge? Maybe that;s the problem. But I don't want to buy one if it is NOT the problem.
It can be a fuser problem see what if the light is go on on the start or not if not you should chek your thermistor (heat sensing element) and clean it
some measurement must be taken

I too have a 1210. Had mine for nearly 3 years. It sounds like that the sensor may have debris or may need replacing. If you have paper in, and the red light is on, then it is most likly a hardware issue. I doubt it being toner, but remove cartridge and shake side-to-side. Check your manual as well.
