Question about Dell 962 Photo All-In-One InkJet Printer

DELL 926 scan request fail

Hello everyone, I too am having problems with my DELL 926 and can do everything except SCAN. I went through all the normal trouble shooting steps, (disconnet power, re-boot, chexk cables, added the most current drivers etc...). Seems this is a common problem.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Go HERE and select your OS and download the latest version of the driver. Then uninstall the older version on your PC, reboot, and install this version. Dont plug in the printer to your PC until instructed to do so in the installer.

SOURCE: Dell Photo 926 printer scanning problems

Go to Control Panel, then Programs and Features. Uninstall the Dell printer software.

Then, go to Control Panel, then Device Manager. Locate the printer, right click on it, and select uninstall.

Disconnect the printer from your PC.

Go to the Support section of Dell's web site, download the latest driver for your printer.

Restart your PC.

Install the software. Connect your printer when instructed to, or after the software install has completed.

I would say that you need to reinstall your software. Your pc is not finding the scanning software. Sometimes programs become degraded over time. You should also :
Right click on my computer>select properties>device manager>scroll until you find your dell 926, then right click on it and click on install new driver> choose the option to find driver on my compter. You may not need it, but you might.

My 926 wont scan anything and it always saiyts failed plus it has scan to types from like ten years ago. please help

Won't scan


Hello,

Kindly try to check if you have completed all the installation of your dell 926 driver including the driver for your scanner. Then Please you can reinstall it and reconfigured the setting to be able to use the full features of your dell 926.

I want to scan pictures onto my computer to post them and when I push the scan button it says Requesting scan~ and then Scan request failed... Any ideas?
