Sounds like a bad charger port. If possible find a friend that has as 'like' tablet and see if that charger will work. I don't know of any device that needs to be in a certain position to charge. Since it's charging at an angle and with pressure, then it's probably not the charger, although it could be the part (of the charger cord) that you put into your tablet, usually from a high number of insertions/retractions or abuse.
Yes this is fixable try ebay for your model and type in screen replacement don,t think it should cost anymore than 40 pounds for the digitizer that's just for the screen that's not for getting it fixed most people that can do this should only charge you between 20-40 pounds for repair I only charge 20 pounds I would love to help but you probably don,t live local to me in northern ireland
Its sounds as if your battery has gone open circuit which means if is now dead and requires to be replaced. Dont continue trying to charge it as you may cause damage to your tablet or cause it to overheat and start a fire.
There are many things you might be doing wrong but slow battery charge is a problem with the new iPad. The battery is actually a lot bigger than the iPad 2 which means it is going to take you much longer to charge. Use the provided charger and don't charge from your computer. It is almost twice as slow to do it plugged into a computer. Charge it at night to give it the most time to charge as possible. I usually turn it off so programs don't run and slow down the charging speed. Every little bit helps. I can help you with other things too if you ask.
If the battery (or whole sytem) is hot ziio waits for cooling, after a lower temperature reached (I don't know its value) it charges. It is better to have a fan (10x10 computer fan maybe) to cool the unit in the charging place :) I have a fan but it take approximately 5 minutes to cool to make acceptcharging. Don't put ziio to the refrigerator to make it cool when its hot!
