double check the ratings on the speakers and amp. speakers that size don't usually require an amp. compare the wattage and resistance numbers, if you haven't fried an amp, you may have blown a speaker. another possibility is a short in the channel. check wiring connections.

Which terminal is positive and negative on Pioneer car speakers. thnaks Shane

Hi,

Look closely at the terminal of the speaker, the size is different from positive and negative.

The bigger terminal should be positive( + ) with a stamp mark on the terminal itself.

The small one should be the negative ( - ).

Hope that helps you!

Thanks for using Fixya!

Connection Pioneer TS-W65A

you are probably looking at a dual voice coil subwoofer. This means you have many options of wiring in series/parralel/or bridged parralel. Go to either www.the12volt.com or crutchfield's learning center in order to figure out what your options are. Then you need to find out what ohm your subwoofers and what ohm your amp is stable at.

Car speakers sound like they are still on

I don't think it would be your speakers. Speakers are only powered by the wires running from the head unit. Does your head unit stay on when your car is turned off? If so, you need an accessorised power source. One that only engages power when your car is turned to accessories. let me know.
