1. Hard wire your pc to the router/modem using ethernet cord / cat 5 cable or use usb storage to download the driver to this link

http://web.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D7050&aid=5381&scid=0

2. Install the driver/software by executing the file.

then follow this:

SymptomNot able to go online only with the wireless connection.
ResolutionTo address the problem, use the following steps:

  1. On the Belkin Wireless monitor utility click on the tab AP List .
  2. Select the encrypted network that you wish to join. Click Connect.
  3. This will take you to the New Profile page . Enter a Profile Name .
  4. On the next page, you will see the network name, the network type and the transmit rate. Click Next.
  5. This will take you to the page that will ask you to select the Authentication Mode. This will be OFF by default. Select Open System or Shared Key depending on the network.
  6. Then select 64-bit or 128-bit encryption depending on the configuration on the Router/AP. Click Next.
  7. On the next page, select Input Method , which will be Hexadecimal (0-9,A-F) or Passphrase.
  8. Select the key index and enter the keys or the passphrase depending on the configuration on the router/AP. Click Complete.
CauseYou are not able to connect to a secured wireless network because the router/AP (what is this?) is encrypted.
SummaryWireless networks by their very nature are not secure because data is transmitted across open (i.e., air) media. This allows unintended “listeners” to receive the data. WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is used in a wireless network to secure the signals and hence the data.

2. On the top right corner, there will be a search by keyword, a small rectangular blue box
3. In that, type in: F5D7050 and press enter
4. It will give you search results, select the result that says "Drivers".
5. Select the appropriate version for your model. Belkin has 5 versions for the same model. Check for FCC no. on your device. There would be a table on that web page.
6. Verify, download and install

Some network adapters have problems with wireless encryption, try turning it off at the router and connect again. If it works, you wont be able to use that usb adapter with your routers encryption on.

You may have conflicts with older driver and newer one, you will need to uninstal the belkin drivers and start again, making sure you install Vista drivers, the cdrom may not have them on, only XP

Belkin lost cd

The drivers available from Belkin are exactly the same drivers as are on the PC. Someone emailing you the drivers isn't going to get you any closer to a solution if you haven't got the ones you downloaded to work.

One problem you might be having is that the driver isn't the correct version. Belkin have five different versions of drivers for the five different versions of that model of card. Make sure you're using the right one. An article about the method of identifying your particular model, together with links to the various software packages can be found at http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&aid=5381

Spend 30 bucks on a new adapter. I have a version 4 adapter that I use as a paper weight for the same reason. I check back and search for solutions about once a month and have spent hours trying to fix a $30 part. How much is your time worth.
