These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it.This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times.Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here.It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Tv comes on for a few minutes then goes off

If you take off the front bottom panel of the tv wich is easy. Then you will see 6 tuning knobs at the bottom middle of the tv .the top 6 control contrast for the lights dont mess with those. the bottom 3 are the power to each light.red is bottom left if your screen went blue it makes sense that the red is starting to go but if you turn down the power to it left 1/8 turn it should fix it for awhile .Its easy.

Sony projector kp53hs10

I recently had this same issue. If you remove the speaker pannel in front of the set, you will see a block with 6 knobs on it, just to the right of the center panel. This is called a focus block. 3 knobs on top which control the voltage going to each tube, and 3 on the bottom are for fine tuning focus for each tube.

If your problem is the same as mine, it is a convergence problem. and due to the fact that the picture is turning off, says that one of the tubes is not getting enough power.

NOTE: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE BUT THE FOCUS BLOCK, THERE IS EXTREMELY HIGH VOLTAGE WITHIN THE TELEVISION, AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.

1. Make sure the screen is blank, ex video 2 with nothing on. It's easier to tell.
2. very slowly, one at a time turn up the knob on the left top, should control red, untill you start to see lines come on the screen, then turn back just till they dissappear, and you see a black screen again.
3. continue with the second knob on top, just the same as the first.
4. And continue with the 3rd knob on top right just the same.
5. when you're finished, turn off the set, then back on, let is set for a min or 2, then hit the FLASH FOCUS.

If the problem persists, it most likely is a IC chip.

Best of Luck

2 red lights w/green light

The problem is the black screws on the bottom of the frame that screw into the X-Clamps. Most of the time, you usually don't have to even put the black screws back in. However their can be exscruciating headache inducing problems with fine tuning the black screws. If you do end up needing to put the black screws back in, I suggest to start with one @ a time, starting with the bottom right screw. ( thats with the 360 standing vertical with the dvd drive faced toward U.) The tightness can range from almost as tight as you can possibly get to soooo!!!!!! loose u can't possibly imagine how its doing anything at all. The best way to do this is, with the 360 hooked up, (and the case left off) take the small white plastic frame off that covers the power button, start with the screw loosened and then proceed to turn slightly like an 1/8th of a turn, then power on and then turn off if 2 red or 3 red ring proceeds and then repeat. You shouldn't have to put all the black screws back in, mine only has bottom right bottom left and top left, and are incredibly loose. My friend however has bottom right only and is tightened only about 1/2 way.

Samsung le32r74bdx 32

i have a $1256 samsung 40'' lcd i have had it for about 1.5 years..just long enough for the warranty to expire..i went to turn the tv on like nomal but all i got was a ed blinking light..and than it would go out after the relay inside clicked a few times.tryed all the to fix it my self..new power cord, diffrent outlet, letting it sit unpluged for 24hrs.ect..finally i took it off the wall took the back off to see if any fusses were blown out. nothing it all looked good to me.so i took my air commpeser to it and blew the whole thing out..put it all back together..and it turned on red light was off and just a hint of light at the edge of the screen...so i was like ok and began to play my ps3 and after about 45 min i just shut off ..nothin would work back to the blinking ed light.i have not messed with it for 3 weeks and yesterday tryed it again.nothin but relay click and red light...so i hit my tv at the bottom by the switch and i came on...i couldnt believe my eyes..it was short lived after watching it for 5 hrs tuned it off and went to bed...in the morning i ran down stairs to turn on my tv..but yet again black..i was not going to spend $300 to $700 to get it fixed..so to day i got my air commpeser and blew it out again..this time i was messing with the power cord right where is hooks to the tv and the red light stayed on solid like it was in stand-by so i pressed the power button and it turned on..so long story..check the power cord and blow out you tv.."but be carful"

Red Bowed Lines / Red Hue

I tried the solution that was posted for this problem and it worked!
Just remove the Low front panel by removing the two bottom screws that are covered by two screw covers, then remove the second panel (black) by removing the 4 screws then you'll notice a module with 6 adjustment knobs, get a small screw driver, and with the t.v. on, being carefull , and with somebody accross the room looking at the screen begin with the lower left knob and turn left very slowly and ask the person across the room to let you know if the screen is better or not, after this I had to adjust the green as well so, I adjusted the next knob over to the left. Do this adjustment carefully and try to remenber the original position of the knobs in case you have to go back.f
Good Luck,
Californian.
