More info for you....... The scooter is a 2013 Roketa MC-54-250B. This scooter was purchased new in 2013. When I got it ready to ride this spring and tried to start it, the alarm started sounding. I checked to see if the battery was up, and it was. I found that if I as much as tapped my finger on the front end, it would sound the alarm. When trying to start the engine, the alarm would start sounding, and the engine would crank over, BUT, not start. I have searched everywhere for a short circuit or anything else that would make the alarm go on, but to no avail. It seemed to be a decent ride last year, and the month or so of the year before. I am not green, as I have had several other bikes in my 72 years.... never anything like this nightmare. Took the cover off of the front, but seen nothing that could cause that. Riding season is almost over now, so I would like to get the thing running. Help!!!!!!More info for you....... The scooter is a 2013 Roketa MC-54-250B. This scooter was purchased new in 2013. Welcome to French car electrics! Nothing is simple on these. Get help from an electrician/tech or remove the alarm fuse. Sorry, but they are a nightmare.
Most car alarms have a small back-up battery inside them... just replace the battery and keep using it. If it's broken, get a used one from a junkyard. Pulling the fuse is the safest option as many cars have a link between the factory alarm system and the ECM which won't allow the car to start.
Check for broken wires in the round rubber boot between the drivers door and the body (in between the door hinges). Same happened to a friend of mine. Repair the wires and all is well. He got his drivers door speaker back in the process.
You need to adjust the tachometer sensing wire, it usually wraps around a spark plug wire so I can sense when the car starts. On my spy alarm, the wire was grey. Hope this helps.
try a bike cover to keep the cold wind away from the battery as the temperature drops so dose the battery volts this will set off the alarm so just use a bike cover and rap the bike up away from the rain and snow
i had this prob a nightmare my su 1000 done this then. after a few weeks,i would park up go for a cuppa , try to start it and nothing just clicking from the switch. i disconnected the immobiliser
If you can not start your car and the alarm keeps going off, try this: find a alarm button , (probablyl under the dash) hold it in and try starting the car, then turn the key to accessory and this should disengage the alarm and the car should start.
