I need to find out my password to my router a friend set it up and forgot the password
Nothing you can do but guess passwords all day. But if I were in the same situation, I would press the
reset button and return it to it's default settings. You might need to re-customize some settings that your
friend setup for you.

You can reset the router back to the defaults.
Power up the Belkin and press and hold the RESET button for 7 secs.

You have do a reset for your router
Step 1:Take a pen or a paper clip and insert it into the reset hole and hold it till the lights are getting flashing
Step 2:Once its flashing with out taking the hand from the reset unplug the power cable of the router and put it back after 10 to 20 secs

If you have forgotten the password you set your left with one option, reset to factory default settings. There should be a reset button on the back or bottom of the router. It may be inset which may require you to use a needle or toothpick to press it. If that is the factory password that was on the device it is usually "password", "administrator" or a variation of those. If the password was set by your ISP then it could be anything but typically they try and use something easy for their techs to remember like you account or phone number but they also use others like my ISP does and it is a weird combination of the tower I use and the last 4 on my account. If the ISP set it they will usually give it to you if you call them and request it.
