Question about HP Pavilion dv7-1130us laptop
The problem is at that at times, the backspace key, the "g" and "h" key don't work. it seems like the rest of the keys work. re-starting the computer helps. but the problem does return. pushing hard on the key and hitting it several times also helps. i am not sure if the problem is hardware or software. any solutions? is this a major problem?
Sounds like water or another liquid has infiltrated the keyboard under those keys causing, a bad connection between , the keys and the motherboard. if its under warranty take it in for repair. If not lookinto getting a non functional model like your laptop and swapping out the motherboard.

Often this can be a build up of oils from your hands even if you are particular about not eating or drinking and haven't spilled. If the warranty has expired, I'd try a can of compressed air and try to blow out as much as possible around the keys to clear out any debris. It may work and it will be cheaper than picking up a replacement, even a non-working one.
