Question about IBM ThinkPad X30 2672 Notebook
Cannot connect to internet. gives message a network cable is unplugged. since it is wireless which cable? regular computer works fine. novice here
To my knowledge, your laptop (IBM ThinkPad X30 2672) does not have any built-in WiFi. It's modes of connection are IrDA, modem, Ethernet, USP, Firewire aside from the regular serial & parallel. This would indicate that if you are wireless you either have a USB dongle or PCMCIA card. Please post back with your WiFi brand/model and your Operating System. Further, please post back likewise your WiFi AP/Router brand/model.
The message "a network cable is unplugged" pertains to the absence of a lan cable connected to your Ethernet port.
Good luck, kind regards and will await your second post.
