Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner

Fan runs on fan mode then shuts down when changing to cool no start up of compreesor or fan duo-therm

    Any fuses under cover on thermostat? What type of thermostat/model are you using? Did this just happen? Fan your saying that comes on, is definitely fan at AC unit correct?

If it is analog, it should have fuse behind front cover.

Duo therm rv air conditioner repair


Sounds like thermostat is failing. There is a factory set resistor that helps the thermostat keep a 2 degree accuracy. Second possibility is that you have a fan or direct airflow from the cooling system, being devirted, that is allowing the cool air hit the thermostat on the wall.

Shut off automatically, and I run it in fan only mode


Remove filter cover and see if front coils /fins are frosting up. Let me know

most likely compressor running could be capacitor, breaker,relay,or compressor it self start by checking power to unit

Duo-therm quick cool


Your compressor is trying to restart after it shuts off which is causing a power draw down changing the sound of the fan speed change. Check voltage power supply and insure that the power supply cord is heavy enough to carry the necessary load.
