Going from 230v to 115v on Super Pump

Having trouble moving the plug from the 230v location to the 115v location on our new Hayward 1 Hp Super Pump. Can't find an electrical drawing that shows the exact location for the plug. I keep blowing the circuit.

Changeing 115volt to 230 volt

Most power Flo pumps run above ground pools and run on 115v only. You can look at the wiring diagram on the motor label to see if it is convertible, it will show wiring configurations and amps for both 115v and 230v. If not, it is a 115v motor only.

I just installed Hayward 1.5HP inground and it tells me that if i use the 115v to use a 30 amp breaker - and when i left the 230V button positioning inside the back of the pump and connected with a 14 ...

double the amps, 230 runs cooler (my fav) . 1.5 is 9.6 amps at 230 volt. you will need to set the motor to run on on the lower voltage this is why you are having problems.. also the motor is thermally protected . this why it will run for awhile and shot off .. remember to prime the pump after any pump repair !!!! . jay the pool pump repair guy in longwood florida

The pump comes factory set for 230v. Power to the motor is 115v so I switched the jumper as indicated. The jumper is set on 2 posts with an arrow pointing to 230v. I moved it to 1 post and the arrow now...

It will not matter where you put the hot and neautral as long as one goes on line 1 and the other on line 2. Just be sure to reset the voltage indicator to read the 115V like before and your all set.

New hayward 1 HP super pump runs 1 or 2 seconds, then shuts off. After 1 or 2 minutes, will come on for 1 or 2 seconds, then shuts off again

Check that the motor is set for the proper voltage. They are usually factory connected for 230V and if you have a 115V line feeding it the motor will overheat and cycle the overload as you describe.

Switching my hayward pool pump from 230v to 115v. I was told i could just move the jumper, line up the arrows for 115 and be fine but my gfi keeps tripping out?

Setting the pump for 115V wont by itself cause the trip. There is either a ground in the circuit or the GFI is bad. You may want an electrician to test any further than this.
