Question about Kitchen Ranges

Oven not heating KitchenAid KERC506HWH3

The oven does not heat. Everything on the range works including the display. When you turn on the oven you can hear clicking noises but it will not activate the heating elements. I tried all the combinations of convection, bake, preheat and broil. Is this a problem with the oven sensor or the control panel? How do I tell? How do I test the sensor to see if it is working? I have a 2006 electric Frigidare oven that will not heat up the burners on top work and when I turn the oven on it looks like it is working on the display but it will not heat up I can try to turn on self cleaning and the door will lock but it still will not heat up same thing with the boiler wont heat up at all in oven. I just used it fine the night before. Can some one help me figure out how to fix this? electric range

I don't know how on earth Yosay mind melded or something into this problem, but it was very similar to Yosay's. My model (Yosay) is totally diferent. But the problems are very similar and I noticed on my tech sheets and stuff there was no error code for faulty eoc board or clock timer as I have come to understand it is called.

I have the same oven and cleaned it last night. Today I went to use the oven and it won't heat up. Both oven and broiler won't heat, but stove top works along with all display features.\

Need to check and see if you are getting 220 volts to the element or if the element is showing resistance with an ohm meter. Any resistance means it is ok. If you are not getting voltage to the elements and resistance is ok then the control board is bad. Note: Always check outlet for proper voltage first! Never know when a breaker has gone bad. Should have 220 volts from line 1 to line 2 and 110 volts from line 1 or line 2 to ground.

Feature not available

I had the same problem with a new kitchenaid range which they have agreed to replace after 1 month. Oven shut off a couple times while baking and feature not available displayed when trying to turn on oven again. I tried starting clean cycle and waiting a couple minutes for element to heat then cancelled clean cycle. Oven worked fine after this but this shouldnt be a solution, obviously something not wired right.

This is probably the thermal shuttoff fuse. Usualy mounted in the back of the oven. Aftermarket fuses are resetable but the OEM ones that come with the ovens usualy are not, so when they go out they stay out. This shuttoff only effects the power to the element so the rest of the oven appears to work.
The oven has to come out and remove the rear covers, behind the covers you will see 2 wires that go to a small 1/2 in dia "plug" that mounts directly to the surface with 2 screws.
Remove the connections and put a meter across the cuttout. it should read very close to zero ohms, if not its blown.

Built-in ovens have a thermal fuse mounted in the back of the oven preventing the bake and broil from operating. In some cases this fuse will open after a self clean operation. In some models, the cooling fan turns off too soon, causing an overtemperature condition that may also cause the fuse to open. You will have to remove the oven and take off the back panel to gain access to this device.

It could be the sensor. Remove the sensor and check for 1 to 1.1K ohms. at room temp. If that's not the problem it may be the oven solenoid on the burner. You can also have a problem with the door lock making when it shouldn't check that also.
