Depends on what connections the vcr has, I think you should connect it to the antenna connector, then find the right channel or adjust it from the vcr(see note 1) so you get picture from the vcr into the tv card, you can then record and watch anything from the vcr to the computer.
Note1: Some vcr's will have a adjustment screw on the back where you can adjust the frequency / channel / signal.
