Could be control module, but not sure. I had issues with a code a long time ago, and the broiler kept coming on and wouldn't shut off, so finally had to shut it off at the breaker. Turns out the control module is fried. But just a thought.
F7 stuck keypad Stuck keypad may mean relay is turned on. Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by: 1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad. 2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs
If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.
If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.
No, the door is able to be opened, light works. No press switch works on the pannel and F 7 shows up on the scren along with time. I even can not fix or change the time. ANd, F7 goes away after pressing clear and comes back by itself after a while in both upper and lower. This is a Kenmore wall double oven. I do not know the model name, but it is not much used in teh last 5 years. Looks like a new one.

I have helped over 1600 folks solve the F7 problem. The problem is usually with the touchpanel and not the ERC. My fix tells how to determine which part is faulty. Hopefully you will not need to purchase a new touchpanel, however, if you do, an internet search will lead you to lower cost sources.

ovenman, there's not a complete model number here but in the Kenmore line F7 is the code for a stuck function switch or bad keypad. Makes sense that it's telling you to start the lower oven. Try removing the ribbon cable from the board and cleaning the ends with an eraser. Reseat it and see if the code comes back. Make sure to kill the power before doing this. Catriver..post back.
